GPS Systems -

A Global Positioning Satellite system is utilizes satellites to send & receive geo-spatial data.

It provides electronic receivers with data to determine their current longitude, latitude & elevation to precise accuracy; from within cm to metres.

It can provide location data by employing the use of time signals which are delivered along a satellite beam that is within line of sight.

The GPS systems (systems as there are many different versions) can be utilized for providing current position, routing data or for tracking an item or device fitted with a receiver.
